KfW renews IFE Focal Point assignment with GP for another 2 years
In February 2021, GP Business Consulting was contracted by the KfW, the German Development Bank, as the Focal Point for Ghana on the Special Initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition” of the Investing for Employment initiative. Since then, we have successfully facilitated the launch of 3 Call-for-Proposals in Ghana, out of which a number of public and private sector businesses have benefited from the IFE Grant Facility.
GP’s stellar performance in the delivery of the project led to its contract being renewed as Focal Point in 2022 for another two years.
The Facility ‘’Investing for Employment (IFE)’’ is an investment mechanism created by KfW Development Bank on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as an integral part of the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation. Operating under the brand ‘Invest for Jobs’, the Special Initiative aims to remove investment barriers and to create good jobs and training opportunities in its partner countries in Africa: Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal, and Tunisia.
The IFE Grant Facility is a competitive challenge fund which co-finances projects with high job creation impact and it targets all sectors.
KfW has 8 Focal Points in the aforementioned African countries whose responsibilities include; engaging with relevant stakeholders to market the IFE grant facility, and participating in all Calls-for-Proposals (CfP) and evaluation activities.
